Life after Windows XP

If you have not already made a start at looking into a transition from Windows XP to Windows 7 then it may help to catch up on the facts. Microsoft have stated very clearly that extended support for Windows XP will end on the 8th April 2014.

Windows XP as I am sure you will agree has served us well but it is now time to consider what to do when support for XP ceases. With no more patches etc after April 2014 delaying a migration to Windows 7 could seriously undermine the integrity of your network. Giving yourself time to plan such a migration is crucial as many SMEs are considering virtualization/upgrade options at the same time.

The good news is that Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 are incredibly stable and packed full of new features to help deliver improved efficiency and reliability.
